IVF

I have been a very, very bad blogger. My apologies to anyone who is still out there attempting to read me.
Once again, my wife and I find ourselves at a crossroads of sort in this crazy land of infertility.
After another unsuccessful dIUI in April/May, we took a month off and travelled to Florida. Our first real vacation in a very long time. It was amazing. It was equally amazing not to have to think about early morning appointments, late night injections, IUIs and more.
When we got back, my wife met with the RE to discuss our next steps. Our last three dIUIs went well inasmuch as she responded well to the injections, multiple follicles were triggered, but alas, no pregnancy.
So, it was suggested we start considering IVF. And that's where we're at. Financially it will be a struggle so yet again we are on a break from treatments as we try and figure out funds to make this happen. My wife has also decided she wants to take this time to focus on weight loss and her overall health in the hopes of giving us an even greater chance of conceiving when the time comes.
Being the supportive guy that I am, I too am working right alongside her to exercise and lose a bit of weight. The fact that I was convinced to make a trip to the Dairy Queen last night not withstanding, we're doing pretty well. Can someone tell me how to resist when she bats those blue eyes at me? Anyone?!
So that's where we're at. While there won't be much going on in terms of treatments over these next few months, I hope to start blogging a little more and hope that you still want to follow our journey.
Hope that all of you out there in blogland are well.
Cheers to you.

Good luck to you guys!
Yay - luckily you are still in my blog feed, so nice to have you back. Good luck to you and hope to hear more from you!
Always thinking of you both. We are going down the road to IVF again as well.
Wishing you both the best.
*hugs*
Glad to see you blogging! My thoughts are with you both as your head down the path to IVF.
Add me to the list of happy readers to see you update! Wishing you both the best!
Ive missed your blog, glad to hear you'll be back! I'm very excited and hopeful for you in this new phase of your journey!
Good luck FG - I wish you all the very best. Please take your time. From one who did IVF x7, donor egg and surrogacy over 8 years and lost everything in the process, I really want you both to be sure that the ends do justify the means. Do not be defined by your infertility. I've also written about all this, so feel free to come on over. Love the blog by the way.
David

Haven't heard from ya so I hope you're saving up for the big IVF! Good luck!
I hope you are doing well out there in bloggy land.
We just did a dIUI and I could probably test by now...but I like still thinking I am pregnant. Sigh- although my body says no.
Wishing you all the best!
you are not a bad blogger at all! In fact you are very honest, informative and often a funny writer. I have just read almost every post with my Husband. It has been so helpful for both of us..but especially for my husband. he has real guilt and shame over our fertility issue. he blames it all because he has a low sperm count and every test and procedure I go through come back normal. I feel bad for me. I really do. I am trying anything to help him gain new perspective. We are starting IVF next month. He has some sperm and we are going to try IVF with icsi(spelling?) I really appreciate your blog and your story. I am can't wait to follow your blog as well as Conceive! I find this community so helpful..I have no idea how I could have survived with out it!
So glad to see a guy posting!! thank you,
My husband and I are also struggling with fertility issues due to male infertility. I'm in the middle of my second round of ICSI, it worked the first time. I got pregnant with twins, but due to the complications associated with multiples they didn't make it because of severe prematurity. But, it's nice to know, we're not the only couple out there trying. Thank you.
I just started following your blog and I'd like to say thank you! It's refreshing to read about the infertility battle from the male perspective! Quite enlightening! Wishing the best to both of you!
